The Polar Express

We went last weekend to our local Barnes and Noble for "The Polar Express" Night!  I found some great printable "Mini-Van Express" Tickets at Confessions of a Homeschooler.  We had the kids get dressed in their pj's and when they came down
they each found a ticket waiting for them.  The "Mini-Van Express" was warmed up and waiting for them to get their tickets punched and climb aboard.  (Yes, I attempted to punch a word in on each ticket, but mine didn't turn out quite as good as in the movie, but the kids got a kick out of it - even if they were freezing!)

All Aboard!

And off we went to the fun activities waiting for us at our next stop . . . The North Pole . . . I mean, the bookstore.  We were able to enjoy a reading of The Polar Express, some hot cocoa and cookies.  They also had some fun Polar Express printables there for us.  It was a fun night!

And the next night we followed up with a movie night of . . . you guessed it, The Polar Express!

We are even considering a sequel to this night - with another "Mini-Van Express" ride.  This time we'll bring our own hot cocoa and cookies.  We'll play some Christmas music and drive around town to see all the pretty Christmas lights.

Here's to slowing down and making memories this Christmas!
