Organization 2012 - Binders

I feel like I am quickly becoming a "Binder Queen" in this New Year!  But what a great way to organize!  Add some sheet protectors and you have your papers and projects right at hand.

My organization project has been to convert my old monthly files into monthly binders.  How much more convenient to flip the sheet protector pages to see what I have available for the month.

In my old systems - which dates back to my teaching days - I had hanging files.  Some of my papers would become creased or torn.  It was not easy to always find what I was looking for.  And there was the periodic, accidental slip of a file off my lap.  Yes, those were pleasant moments, trying to match up projects or papers that went together and put it all back into a space that wasn't holding it in place.

Then the idea struck - with a binder I could just turn the pages.  They would be nice a neat.  And my projects and papers would be protected and kept together by sheet protectors - aren't they little heroes, jumping in to save the day!

Plus, I could group similar things together. Like in my January Binder, I have all my snowman projects grouped together, snowflakes projects are together, mitten activities, etc. And I don't have to worry about that accidental slip to find all my groupings mixed up!

Now, I got December done before I put it away.  I have January done and sitting neatly on my shelf to grab whenever I want it.  And I plan to do the rest of the months as they come.

I'd love to hear how you organize with binders!
Happy Organizing!
